I shop for deals...

Tuesdays on the RunToday I'm linking up with Erica at MCM Mama Runs, Marcia at Marcia’s Healthy Slice, and Patty at My no-guilt life for Tuesdays on the Run.

The topic for today is “Where do you buy your gear? Online? Local store? Give us the lowdown on the best deals"

I am a deal shopper. I generally hunt online for the best deals. Although, I have been known to hit up my local Target, Academy and Walmart for a cheap tank or tee.

I recently learned of a great site to find lowest priced running shoes - shoekicker, I will look there first when looking for shoes.  For shoes I generally buy at my local running store first, then look for deals online.

I get a lot of stuff from Amazon. Generally  not clothes... I've found good deals on my Garmin watch, foam rollers, fuel, etc. I have Prime, so on most items 2 day shipping is free... and I like that you can create wish lists, and that it shows when the price increases or decreases from when you added the item to the list. Zulily is another spot where I can sometimes find some good deals. On Zulily you can tag your favorite brands and get notification when there is a sale.

Once I find a brand of something I like... I usually stick to that brand and wait for sales.  Pro Compression is always having specials and Spandits! does on occasion.

  1. I'm loyal to brands (hello Skirtsports!) but love trying new stuff too! So I tend to be loyal to a lot of brands. :)

  9. I just got an awesome deal on my favorite Brooks Ghost running shoes on Amazon with free two-day shipping. I typically buy my running shoes at my local running store because they're so awesome, but these are a second pair of the same shoe and they were almost half off. Thanks for linking up!
