Workouts - Last Week Today - May 8

My next half marathon is coming up in 6 days!  This time around I'm not cutting back as much as I did before, since I felt that it was just way too much.  We'll see how I feel for this one.

Since my 30 day plank challenge ended, I've been very forgetful about including planking in my routine.  I did manage to get in some planks this week.

After all the awful stormy weather, we were blessed with true spring time weather here in H-town after Sunday...  lows in the mid 50's and highs in the mid 80's, and low humidity... chamber of commerce weather!

Here is how my week lined up:

Sunday - 10 miles easy, but it did not feel that easy at all.  I started about an hour later than I wanted to and it was hot and humid, but I got 'er done (average pace 11:32)

Monday - Rest

Tuesday - 4 miles easy with Sorcha (average pace 10:41), planks 3 x 45 sec.

Wednesday - 10k virtual run for "May The 4th Be With You" presented by Level Up Runs.

Thursday - Rest

Friday - 4.3 miles easy with Anam (average pace 11:11), planks 3 x 45 sec.

Sadly, our favorite path was blocked by a huge tree that had fallen across it. I hope the tree gets moved soon, as it is a good path for running with the dogs because it has a nice little pond that they can cool off in.

Saturday - Rest

TOTAL miles = 24.5

I'm linking up with HoHo Runs and MissSippi Piddlin’ for the Weekly Wrap, plus Nicole, Annmarie, Angelena Marie, and Michelle for Wild Workout Wednesday.

  1. 6 days! That's exciting. I wish I had a half this weekend. You remind me that I need to run my "May the 4th" run. Did you change the look of your blog? Chamber of Commerce weather -- I need to remember that. I wish we could have more of it, but summer is here now and mornings are humid. Good luck at the half! Thanks for linking with us Vicki!

  2. Last summer we were biking an came across trees that were blocking the path. It was quite a seen, us trying to carry our bikes over/under the mess. Thank goodness no one saw us!

  5. What a unique name Sorcha, I love it and such a pretty dog! Wow you do have some debris in that path for sure! I hope it gets taken care of soon! Good luck on your upcoming half, can't wait to hear how it goes.
I'm on a plank streak right now. I only committed to M-F of this week cause I'll be in R*E*L*A*X mode come this weekend but if truth be known, I'm gonna try and sneak in a few planks. ;)
