Fall Race Calendar

Tuesdays on the RunToday I'm linking up with MCM Mama Runs, Marcia’s Healthy Slice, and My no-guilt life for Tuesdays on the Run.

Today we're talking fall racing calendars!

All summer we've been training in the hot, humid conditions for races in the fall which will hopefully result in a shiny new PR!

Here's a peak at my race calendar this fall:

October 9 - 10 for Texas - The Woodlands, TX.  I haven't done a 10 mile race before so this should be interesting.  Bonus is it is 5 miles from home!

10 for TX

October 30 - Houston Half Marathon - Houston, TX.  Last year the race was called off due to remnants of a tropical storm.  This race has some fun perks... beer, tacos and free race photos.

Houston-Half-2016-LogoNovember 24 - Run Through the Woods - The Woodlands, TX.  My sister and her family are going to be in town for Thanksgiving and I know at least my niece and I will be running this ... might be able to convince the rest of the family too.  There's a pancake breakfast afterwards.

  1. The run through the woods sounds challenging. I am always afraid I am going to trip over a root when I run there. I hope it's when it is daylight out.

  2. Hope that the Houston Half won't be cancelled this year. I remember that last year because our half marathon was not cancelled despite Hurricane Patricia rolling through at that time. Love post-race tacos! 10 for TX sounds fun (and so close!). Tempting...

  6. It isn't through trails, it's a Thanksgiving day road race... I'm not really sure why it's called that unless they are shortening the name of the town "The Woodlands" :-)

  8. It totally would, I've actually been contemplating running to the start or back home to get some extra miles in (I think I have 15 on the calendar).
