5 Shows I've Binge Watched Lately

I'm linking up for the first weekly Friday Five 2.0!  Thanks to Lacey, Meranda, and Rachel for hosting this fun link-up!

I don't normally watch a lot of tv... between work, running, cooking, and reading there isn't really a lot of time left over.  However, these past few weeks I've been a "hunting widow" and somehow have managed to log more tv time.  Here's what I've been watching.

  1. Mozart In The Jungle - behind the scenes dramedy of the New York Symphony.  It's an Amazon original, and quite good... the first 2 seasons flew by and now I'm anxiously awaiting season 3.

  2. Mr. Selfridge - was looking for something to replace Downton Abbey (can there really be anything as good?). This is a British-American period television drama series about Harry Gordon Selfridge and his department store, Selfridge & Co set in London in the early 1900's. I've seen seasons 1-3 and am waiting for Amazon to release season 4 to Prime.

  3. Transparent - an Amazon original about a family and their lives following the discovery that the person they knew as their father transgender. I blasted through all 3 seasons pretty quickly.

  4. Back To The Future - when I saw that Netflix had all 3 movies, I couldn't help but do a marathon... I remember seeing the first one back in the day, and was a huge Michael J Fox fan.

  5. Shameless - This one is really a train wreck that I just can't stop watching.  It's tells the story of the dysfunctional family of Frank Gallagher, a single father of six children.

Are you a big TV watcher?  What shows are your favorites?

I'm linking up with Running on Happy & Fairytales and Fitness for the Friday Five 2.0 linkup!

  1. I watch more TV then I'd like to admit. I haven't seen the first three, and I will have to check them out. Back to the Future was my brother's favorite movie(s) growing up and I have seen all of them more times then I could count. I still love watching them. As for Shameless, I love that show. It's like a car accident you just cannot turn away from. Apparently it's a remake of a show over in Briton and I tried to watch the BBC version and just didn't like it as much. I love the actors of the US version a lot.

  5. I don't have the attention span to binge watch much! Lately I have been binge watching CNN though. :) We used to binge watch Survivor and Big Brother but now we have seen all the seasons! We started Shameless but couldn't get into it. It is a train wreck for sure! Have a great weekend! :)

  7. Oh my gosh, my comment deleted! I swear I commented last week. Anyways -- BACK TO THE FUTURE IS THE BEST! :) That was the gist of what I originally said. :)

  8. Ah Back to the Future. Love it! I have seen all three movies so many times. The second is my favourite.
I am weird with tv. I'll take a break and not watch it for awhile and then binge for awhile. There doesn't seem to be a happy medium with me haha ;p
Right now I'm binge watching The Secret Life of the American Teenager on Netflix. I don't recommend it to be honest though, it's not that great.
I think my favourite tv show right now is The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. It's just such a cute show =)

  12. Yes... it is, I'm surprised that it doesn't seem terribly dated as some movies from the 80s do.
