November Coffee Date

wp-1472756999291.jpgToday I'm joining the Ultimate Coffee Date for some catching up!

If we were having coffee, you would notice that I'm drinking tea.  I gave up my coffee addiction several years ago.  I usually drink a cup of yerba mate in the morning and then a cup of green tea.

If we were having coffee, I'd tell you about the new truck we just got.  The hubs has been without a truck since his was stolen in January. He really loved that truck... and really wasn't interested in a new truck, he wanted his old truck back (not possible - it was stripped). I found an great Toyota truck and bit the bullet and bought it.  He hasn't seen it or driven it yet... but I'm really loving it. I can't wait to take it to the deer lease next weekend so he can see it, he's pretty excited about it too.

If we were having coffee, I'd tell you that my neice and I did our "I Solemnly Swear That I Am Up To No Good" virtual 5k this morning virtually together.  She ran in Kansas and I ran here in Texas.  We had fun sharing pictures. I think she is going to write a guest post race recap, so look for that coming soon!

If we were having coffee, I'd tell you how excited I am for this Thanksgiving.  You see, my sister and her family (and possibly my mother) will be traveling down to H-town to see me.  This is the first time in the 8 years we've lived here that they have visited.  Well, my sister came down for a quick weekend a few years back so we could go to the Madonna concert together, but that doesn't really count.  I was hoping that this Thanksgiving would be cruelty free, but my brother-in-law put his foot down and said "no meat, no trip"... so obviously there will be some sort of meat.

If we were having coffee, I'd tell how excited I am that college basketball season is here! My beloved Jayhawks had their first exhibition game on Tuesday and it was great to watch.  Unfortunately, we don't have a very competitive football team right now (or ever)... so it isn't as much fun to watch football .(I am wearing my KU football jersey today in support for my team).

Well, that catches me up... what would you tell me, if we were having coffee?
