April Running Highlights

April was a pretty great month, although it isn't quite over and I have a little more running to get in.  If I had to grade my month of running... I'd give it a solid A.

I've ran a total of 61 miles so far this month.  Got several of those in with my dogs, Anam and Sorcha.  We were just featured in Running with Ollie's Tuesday's Tails Furry Feature... you should check us out!

[caption id="attachment_2627" align="aligncenter" width="300"] We had a little surprise visitor on this run[/caption]

I ran my first trail race - the Brazos Bend 25k.  I had a blast at that one!

I ran in the Vintage Park Half Marathon... another fun time!  It was the day after the 25k.

I took a week off of running after the two back to back races, and started back running last week and am happy to say I'm increasing my weeknight mileage little by little.

So far, it's been a great month of running!

How would you rate your month of running?

Today I'm linking up with MCM Mama Runs, Marcia’s Healthy Slice, and My no-guilt life for Tuesdays on the Run.

  1. You had a great, race-filled month! I love that your dog doubles as your running buddy.

  2. Great mileage this month even with taking a week off! I did not run any races in April. It was kind of nice to take a break after my full marathon in March.

  3. You're doing great with your running! Your pups are so darned cute =) Wish I could get mine to run more. She just wants to stop and smell things and try and trip me haha ;)
I didn't do great with running at the beginning of the year with sickness and surgery. I got caught up with a half marathon I did and the training I did for it... but fell off again with life changes and more sickness. And I signed up for a bike race that means less running, more biking. Ah well. Hopefully I'll get back into it again after my bike race.

  4. Thanks! They like to smell things too, we start off with about 1/4 mile walk to get that out of their system. Oh, I miss having a bike!
