Houston Marathon Training - Week 3

Chicago Marathon training - week 13

I've just completed week 3 of my 12 week training cycle for the Houston Marathon.  This is the recap for my Houston Marathon Training - Week 3.

I ended my love affair with my snooze button this week. It was a hard break-up, but it needed to come to an end.  As a result, I made it to all my early morning workouts and even got into Yin Yoga one night this week. This made me really happy.

Other than workouts, my week was pretty quiet.  I made getting to bed on time a priority so that I get the appropriate amount of zzz's for those 4am wake-up calls.

Nutrition this week was good, but could have been better.  My new gym is just down the street from Torchy's Tacos. I may have forgotten my breakfast a couple of times this week accidentally on purpose so I could drop in for some breakfast tacos... opps!

  1. Great job on your 15 miles. I wish my dog could do 6 miles with me. She used to run but she has gotten much older so we do longer walks now.

  2. Great job on all of your workouts this week!

That's so crazy that the gym is near a taco place! My gym is right down the street from a pizza shop so I can totally relate :)

  3. You had a strong week! How fun to be able to go back home and get your dogs for the last miles of your run! I'm loving those capris you are wearing for that run too. Great colors. Thanks for linking!

  4. Love Torchy's breakfast tacos. I always have one after my Saturday long run.

  5. Thanks! Sometimes it is nice having their company on the runs... although it really slows down the pace.

  8. Yes! Sometimes the thought of having Torchy's after a miserable run is what makes me push through :-)
