2019 - My Year In Bling

2019 was quite a year in racing for me.  Ten of my 11 races were on trail and were Trail Racing Over Texas races. I ran my first 100k in a timed race, then later ran another 100k.  2019 brought me my first DNF as well.

2017 - My Year In Bling

In January, I traveled up to Tyler, TX for Running the Rose.  It's at Tyler State Park... such a beautiful park.  I ran the 11 mile distance and worked a few volunteer shifts as well.

In February, I ran Jackalope Jam. It's a timed race event where participants can choose between 72, 48, 24, 12, or 6 hours and get as many miles as possible.  I signed up for the 24  hour race and finished 100k in that time.

In April I went back out for the 50k at Brazos Bend 50... looking to beat my time from the previous year, mission accomplished!

Cleburne State Park was the location for the Coyote Run.  I chose the 25k race and was challenged by the elevation and rocky course.

I got my first DNF at Possum's Revenge.  I ended up getting this sweet volunteer medal and picked up an extra volunteer shift.

After heat training for most of the summer, I made it out to Habanero Hundred again and ran the 10k.  I even scored 2nd place female masters!
September found me in Marble Falls for the final run of Colorado Crossing.  Rowing across the Colorado River in the middle of the race was a lot of fun! I ended up with 2nd place female masters in the 8 mile race.

I traveled out to Mission Tejas State Park for the third year.  I ended up placing 1st Female masters in the 5k.

My second 100k of the year came at El Taco Loco in San Antonio.

I finished out the year with the biggest trail party... Brazos Bend 100.
