2020 Goals - March Update


This year is chugging along at a really fast pace... February is toast. As I mentioned in my 2020 Goals post, I would regularly post updates with how I was doing against the goals that I set for myself.  
March was the month where the progress on my goals took a nose dive. I know a lot of it was from anxiety related to Covid-19 and the strange times we are living in, as time has gone on I've found better coping mechanisms to deal with the anxiety.  

Main Personal Goal:

  • Do something that brings me joy at least once a week.  This one was a tough on this month.  I did manage to write down 2 things this month. 
  • Create a jar of happy by writing down those things so that I can look back on them at the end of the year.  Still no jar... still writing things down for when I get a jar. 

Fitness Goals:

  • Run the year! 2020 miles in 2020.  100 miles for March... 428 miles for the year. 
  • Get into a strength training routine - 2 times/week. Nope .
  • Practice Yoga at least once a week.Nope.
  • Ride my bike, use my paddleboard, hoola hoop! Nope (but I did get my bike out of the shed... baby steps).

Health Goals:

  • Get all my scheduled health screenings in this year (Physical, Blood Work, Mammogram, Well Woman). Haven't scheduled yet.
  • Eat healthier. Cut down on the junk food and sweets. Eating healthier was easier on lock-down as I don't tend to keep junk food in the house. 
  • Hydration.  Aim for at least 64 oz of water a day. Maintaining.

Blog Goals:

  • Blog more regularly - find a schedule and stick to it. While I had more time on my hands to blog more frequently, I used the time on other pursuits... reading, pet snuggling, binge watching Tiger King.
  • Finish the redesign of my blog. Mostly finished.
  • Post at least 1 recipe each month. Nope.
