This week we wrapped up our Colorado vacation and I got a few runs in once we got back.
While we had a blast in Colorado, I was happy to be home... I missed my fur kids, and I missed my routine.
Here is how this week shook out:
Sunday - Went hiking and site seeing... found a short trail that led up to a waterfall. It was beautiful. We also took a very long drive over the Rocky Mountains and the scenery was just incredible. Total steps 9,141.
Monday - Left the mountains and headed back to Denver for our last full day in Colorado. By the time we got to the hotel and dropped off the rental car, we were drained. We ordered in Chinese and chilled. Total steps 3,928.
Tuesday - We took advantage of the late afternoon flight and headed to grab brunch. When I found how close we were to Voodoo Doughnuts, we had to walk over to there. Once we got home, we were greeted by 2 very happy pups, the cats didn't seem to care. Total steps 7,921.
Wednesday - Back to the regular routine. I was exhausted after work, but still wanted to do something. Took both dogs for a walk. Total steps 10,358.
Thursday - Easy 3 miler after work (average pace 11:01)... felt great to lace up my running shoes and get out there. Total steps 10,535.
Friday - Rest - Total steps 3,919
Saturday - Easy 4 miler (average pace 11:12). Total steps 14,480.
Total miles = 7
I'm linking up with HoHo Runs and MissSippi Piddlin’ for the Weekly Wrap, plus Nicole, Annmarie, Jen, and Michelle for Wild Workout Wednesday.

Sounds like a good week. I've never tried Voodoo Donuts but I know they are quite popular!
ReplyDeleteLooks gorgeous! We're going to CO too! We haven't been in years. Any tips or recommendations?
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like a lovely trip. I've been to Colorado twice: once in winter to snow ski and once in summer for a half marathon. It is beautiful there. It's difficult to imagine there can be snow in the Rockies as hot as it is here. Getting back to a regular routine it so difficult for me. It looks like you did a great job of that. Thanks for linking with us Vicki.
ReplyDeleteWow, several bloggers I read were in Colorado last week. The scenery certainly is fabulous. I have a hard time being away from my fur kid too. I've been away for 6 days and thankfully going home tonight!
ReplyDeleteWhere in Colorado are you going? We have family in the Granby/Grand Lake area. We drove up to the Rocky Mountain National Park one day, that was a lot of fun. There are a lot of places to hike and you can see some wildlife from the road as well.
ReplyDeleteLooks gorgeous! I would love to visit Colorado. And, of course, Voodoo Doughnuts. We have absolutely zero local donut shops around where I live and I crave them.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great week! I've only been to Colorado once for a quick weekend, but it was beautiful!

ReplyDeleteThanks for linking up with us!
It was amazing that when we left Granby (lower down on the mountain) it was in the 70s and when we got to the top (not too many miles away) it was in the 50s.
ReplyDeleteI'm thankful that we have a great pet sitter!
ReplyDeleteColorado is awesome... I like it more in the summer time.
