Not So Upsetting...

wp-1471539530646.jpgI have a thing for cookbooks.  I really wasn't sure that I needed another one, let alone one just about sandwiches. I was concerned about how many recipes in this would really be applicable me.  I was pleasantly surprised!

A Super Upsetting Cookbook About Sandwiches has some very creative sandwich combinations.  The book is split into two sections - Sandwiches and Things to Put in Sandwiches.  The author, Tyler Kord is the chef-owner of the No. 7 restaurant group in New York.  He knows a thing or two about sandwiches!

This cookbook isn't your normal everyday cookbook.  It reads like a book of short stories.  Tyler shares humorous anecdotes for each of the recipes. I really enjoyed reading the commentary that prefaced each recipe.

These sandwiches aren't your grandmother's sandwiches either!  All of the sandwiches have different components that should make them more tasty.... and the names will at least make you chuckle.

I can't wait to try some of the vegetarian recipes from the book including:

  • Gentle Thoughts (asparagus, carrot puree, shallot-ginger vinaigrette, feta cheese)

  • Taken 2 (broccoli falafel, fennel puree, muchim pickels, tomatoes)

  • Sympathy For The Devil (veggie burger, avocado blue cheese, roasted onions)

NOTE: I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher, through Blogging For Books for an honest review. All opinions expressed are my own.
