Workouts - Last Week Today - August 7

Had another great week of running. I'm in my 4th week training for the Houston Half.  My mileage is increasing bit by bit.

The heat is back in H-town.  Thursday evening the temp was still at 92 degrees at 7:30 pm... whew!

I ran in the Southern Star Brewing Company 5k run on Saturday... it was a fun time with running, and craft beer.  I even took home 3rd place in my AG! Look for a race recap later this week.

Here is how my week shook out:

Sunday - 10 miles slow (average pace 11:30)

Monday - Rest.

Tuesday - 5 miles easy effort (average pace 10:21).

  4. I'm so envious of all you people with AG awards. It would be enticing to race ore if I could ever win one, but that just ain't happening. Congrats!

That looks like a really solid week considering your heat!

  5. Great job on your 5k! 8:46 pace is great! I do not see 8's hardly at all and especially in this heat I know what effort it takes!

  12. Thanks! Our weather guy says this week is the peak of summer for Houston, so the temps (hopefully) should go down from here.
