Running Challenges

wp-1473774907071.jpgToday I'm joining the lovely ladies for Tuesdays On The Run.  Where we talk about a different topic each week that is running related.

Today's topic is "The Most Challenging Aspect of Running Right Now Is..."

Don't get me wrong... I love running.  However, there are times that make it more of a challenge. Right now I've got 2 things that are proving a challenge to get me out the door.


I've been fighting fatigue for a while.  I am feeling incredibly tired and my legs just feel like they are filled with lead. I had started taking cat naps right before my evening runs (before it started getting dark so early), and even last week I had to take a nap on my lunch hour!


Late last year I consulted "Dr. Google" after feeling fatigued and sluggish and self-diagnosed myself with having low iron levels. I started supplementing and the fatigued feeling went away. Then... almost 2 months ago, I read a couple articles that stated you shouldn't supplement with iron without being under a doctor's care, so I stopped.  Shortly after, the fatigue reared its ugly head.  Recently, I had a pow-wow with my doctor and got lots of blood drawn for all sorts of tests to help narrow it down. I'm anxiously awaiting for those results to come in.

Endless Summer!

While I am a big fan of summer, once it starts getting dark early I am ready for it to start cooling off a bit! It is a challenge getting out there when the real feel is 100 at 7:00 pm.  Plus I've got all sorts of cute capris that I am just DYING to wear!
