Spring Running Favorites

Happy Friday!  Today I'm linking up with the lovely ladies for the Friday Five 2.0! I'm talking about Spring Runing.  Spring has sprung in my part of the world... well, since January it seems.  Flowers have budded, temps have warmed, and we are getting those great afternoon thunderstorms!

In H-town, Spring this year hasn't felt much different than winter. Seriously... I could count on 1 hand the amount of days that it was miserably cold... not that I'm complaining (too loudly).  These are the things that are great about running in Spring in my neck of the woods.

  1. Everything is green... almost technicolor green, it looks so lush!

  2. Spring races... got to get them in in the spring because there is nothing longer than a 5k from May-September.

  3. Cool fronts!

  4. All the pretty flowers... magnolias, blue bonnets, crepe myrtles... and all the other flowers that look pretty (that I don't know what they are called).

  5. Shorts and singlets! Wait, we wore those all winter!

What does spring running look like to you?

I'm linking up with Running on Happy & Fairytales and Fitness for the Friday Five 2.0 linkup!
