It is no secret that I love salsa.
I started making this salsa about 24 years ago in an attempt to copy the salsa from my favorite Mexican restaurants.
It has evolved over the years... back in the day, the only ingredients were tomatoes, jalapeños, and garlic. As my knowledge of cooking and ingredients developed, I added ingredients to enrich the flavor.
I still think this beats most salsas you can buy off the shelf at the supermarket.

ReplyDeleteLove homemade salsa, only my hubby is the one who usually makes it. The hotter the better, but not too much that it just burns and you can't taste it. Thank you for linking up with us for Meatless Monday.
ReplyDeleteOh I used to make homemade salsa when we had a backyard with a garden - with our own tomatoes! I haven't made any in so long, I can't wait to try this =)
