I'm in my 12th week of training for the Houston Marathon. Race day is 4 weeks away!! Coral assignments came out this week... things are feeling real!
Summer was back in Houston this week. Overall I had a great week of running.
Here is how my week played out:
Sunday - 16 mile long run with 3 miles 'fast' at miles 12-15.
Monday - 5 miles easy.
Tuesday - Rest.
Wednesday - 8 miles total... 3 x 2 miles fast with 1 mile w/up & c/down. I fretted over this one all day... but I nailed it! Goal pace was 9:45-9:55, actual was 9:28 and 9:34.
Thursday - Rest.
Friday - Rest.
Saturday - 6 miles easy & basics yoga class.
Total Miles = 35

ReplyDeleteIsn't it crazy how those miles add up? I had so many weeks of 40+miles (while in training for my recent marathon), and it never felt like I had done any "extra" miles while they were happening. I always had to recount (several times) to make sure I was adding the totals correctly LOL

ReplyDeleteThanks... Yes, I'm on a plan that splits the long run over the weekend, so I will have 8 then 16.
